“ Every piece of jewellery tells a story, and the choice of materials plays a pivotal role in weaving that narrative. Gemstones or pearls, adorned by their natural beauty, carry with them a rich history and inherent symbolism. Each one of them possesses its unique characteristics and allure, captivating both ~ the jeweller and the wearer. “

Hello,
My name is Tereza, and I am a self-taught goldsmith.

I have always been drawn to beauty in all its forms — whether shaped by nature or created by human hands. The interplay of light, organic shapes, and traditional crafts has fascinated me for as long as I can remember. They have quietly nourished my curiosity and creativity throughout my life.

Terra Artefact was born from a desire to create objects that last — small, meaningful treasures in a world that moves ever faster and too often favours the disposable. Each piece of jewellery (with the exception of chains) is slowly crafted by my hands in a tiny home studio near the Seven Sisters cliffs. Using traditional metalsmithing techniques, I create unique talismans to accompany both the ordinary and extraordinary moments of your life.

I am the head, the hands, and the heart behind Terra Artefact.

Although I have no formal training, I have spent countless hours learning, experimenting, and refining my craft. This work is a journey of constant discovery — one that allows me to explore new ideas while honouring old techniques. Every piece I create is made with care and patience, and with a deep respect for the materials themselves.

Inspired by nature, history, and the quiet poetry of everyday life, I strive to give each piece its own character and a sense of timelessness.

And so I offer you these small Artefacts — delicate pieces of gold, argentium silver, and gemstones. I hope you will enjoy them, wear them, and cherish them as much as I enjoyed creating them.

thank you for being here. by choosing terra artefact, you are helping to bring a small creative dream to life, while also supporting slow craftsmanship and the work of an independent maker.

Terra

Terra — one of the most ancient goddesses of the Roman religion and mythology. The embodiment of the Earth itself, symbolising strength, stability, and growth.

Terra — one of the four classical elements alongside air (Ventus), water (Aqua), and fire (Ignis).

And lastly, Terra echoes the Greek origins of my own name, Tereza.

Artefact

The term Artefact refers to an object crafted by human hands — whether an ornament, work of art, tool, or any item of cultural or historical significance.

Artefacts exist as the result of transformational processes, taking many forms across time and cultures.

The word comes from Latin: Arte, meaning "by skill," and Factum, meaning "act of doing," with influences from Facere, meaning "act of creating."

Ouroboros

The Ouroboros is an ancient symbol depicting a serpent eating its own tail, often interpreted as a symbol of eternal cyclical renewal (cycle of life, death and rebirth), as well as a meaning of infinity or wholeness. The Ouroboros expresses the unity of all things, material and spiritual, which never truly disappear but perpetually change form in an eternal cycle of destruction and re-creation.

The symbol persisted from Egyptian to Roman times (but can be seen in other ancient cultures around the world), when it frequently appeared on magical talismans.

The uncanny resemblance of the ring's shape (as an eternal circle) to the Ouroboros itself (and its symbolism) should be mentioned as well.
