TERRA ARTEFACT is a small jewellery brand run by a single woman, not a global fast fashion company, and all operating costs are commensurate with this. Proudly supporting the local economy by sourcing from trusted suppliers mostly within the UK.

GOLD

All TERRA ARTEFACT jewellery is made exclusively from recycled gold. There is no loss of purity, value or quality of the gold during the recycling/melting process. Using recycled gold instead of newly mined gold helps to reduce waste, preserve natural resources and reduce the negative environmental impact created by extractions.

ARGENTIUM SILVER

It is a superior, high performance silver with a number of unique properties. These properties differentiate Argentium Silver from traditional Sterling silver.

Argentium is much purer than standard Sterling (940 or 960 parts per 1000 as opposed to 925 in sterling). The alloy contains a small amount of Germanium which gives the final product an incredibly high tarnish resistance, a whiter colour, antibacterial and hypoallergenic properties and a firestain-free surface (eliminates a discolorration of the surface during silversmithing).

All of these benefits make Argentium Silver better for the end wearer and gentler on the environment, as less chemicals are used in production.

PACKAGING

All mailing bags and jewellery boxes are FSC® certified products. The FSC® mark guarantees that all materials come from an FSC® forest where no more wood is harvested than the forest can reproduce. This means better protection of the animal and plant life.

TERRA ARTEFACT does not currently offer a bespoke service. I firmly believe that you will find your new favourite and unique jewellery pieces in the One~of~a~Kind section.

TERRA ARTEFACT creations are made from precious materials (solid gold, gemstones, pearls) and they need to be treated with special care if you want to keep them in fine condition. Keep your jewellery away from chemicals, acidic environments, cosmetic products and oils. Avoid wearing them during labour-intensive and sports activities and protect them from scratches and chipping.

Your jewellery will age naturally, so if you want to keep your pieces in pristine condition, clean your gold regularly. As a general refresher, I recommend washing your favourite gold items in lukewarm water with mild soap and then polishing them with a clean piece of 100% cotton flannel to bring back the shine.

The prices of TERRA ARTEFACT are fair and reflects the cost of gold, Argentium silver, gemstones and the time involved in designing and making a unique piece of jewellery.

With the price of gold at an all-time high, TERRA reserves the right to alter prices at any time by any increase in the cost of raw materials.

Prices are correct at the time of publication and all jewellery will be charged at the price shown on the website at the time of ordering.

If you are not sure about the size of your finger, or the size of your loved ones, I highly recommend you to download an application simply called: RING SIZER. It will help you to accurately size any finger in just a second of your time. I use this application within my work, so if you want to avoid badly fitting rings, please download it. (It is free.)

All rings are sized using the traditional UK size chart. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure they know their exact size before placing an order. Please bear in mind that all rings from the collections are made to order specifically to your, individual requirements. (No refunds will be given for incorrect sizes).

Precious metals are rarely used in their purest form but are usually alloyed with other metals for workability, durability and wearability.

It's not possible to tell the precious metal content of an article by sight or touch. It is therefore a legal requirement to hallmark articles containing precious metals if they are described as such. This applies to all gold items weighing over 1 gram.

The Goldsmiths' Company Assay Office

• They have been testing and hallmarking precious metals for over 700 years, having been responsible for guaranteeing the purity of items made from precious metals since 1300, when the Hallmarking Statute was passed.

• All four of the UK's Assay Offices have a statutory duty to control the standards of precious metals that are sold in the UK. They do this by assaying (testing) the precious metal content and then applying the hallmark.

• A hallmark is a set of component marks applied to articles of precious metals. This means that the article has been independently tested. Guarantees that it conforms to all legal standards of purity (fineness).

• The entire hallmarking process can take up to 14 days to complete.

TERRA ARTEFACT jewellery typically bears only three hallmarks.

• The first, 'TERRA', acts as the brand's signature.

• The second is typically a number indicating the purity of the gold used. For example, No. 375 stands for 9 carats of gold.

• The third hallmark displays the assay office that marked the piece. In TA jewellery, you will find the leopard's head, the signature stamp of a London assay office.

TERRA ARTEFACT makes every effort to create and complete your order as quickly as possible. Every piece is lovingly crafted by hand, with every stage of the process requiring both time and attention. Therefore, delivery times are not guaranteed, they are estimates only. Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a dispatch confirmation email.

Please note:

• A SIGNATURE UPON DELIVERY IS REQUIRED FOR ALL ORDERS.

• During high-volume periods, delivery times may be affected.

• Please note that TERRA ARTEFACT is not responsible for any items lost, stolen or damaged in transit. Please, contact the Royal Mail in the first instance.

• Items tracked as signed and delivered cannot be refunded.

• All items shipped are fully insured.

Domestic Shipping / £10

• Shipments are arranged via Royal Post / Special Delivery service (insured, tracked and signed for the next day before 1 pm).

• Please allow up to four weeks for the delivery of ‘Made-to-order’ items.

• Orders from the 'One-of-a-Kind' section take 1–3 working days.

International Shipping + handling / £30

• TERRA ARTEFACT delivers across Europe. If you would like to have my jewellery delivered to a country outside of Europe, please feel free to contact me. I will do my best to arrange the shipment to other countries.

• Please allow up to two weeks for delivery within Europe.

• Please note that the listed prices for products and delivery do not include any taxes or duties that may be charged by customs or postal authorities in your country.

• When your parcel arrives, please be aware that you may incur import duties and taxes, which are determined by your local customs authority.

• It is much appreciated your understanding that TERRA ARTEFACT is unable to influence any delays that may occur during the delivery process due to customs clearance.

TERRA ARTEFACT jewellery is handmade, using traditional techniques and hand tools. Please consider this while purchasing. Some items may vary slightly from the photographs due to the handcrafted process.

I hope you will be delighted with your handcrafted jewellery piece, however, if you are not entirely satisfied, I will accept a return within 14 days of receipt.

This only applies to items in the 'One-of-a-Kind' section.

Refunds cannot be offered for:

• Collection/Made-to-order pieces

• bespoke orders

• earrings (for hygiene reasons)

I will then provide my address so that you can return the package (securely and safety packed) as soon as possible (within a maximum of 14 days of receipt).

• The item must be returned in perfect condition, unworn and in its original packaging with all documentation.

• Customers are fully responsible for the return process and shipping is at their expense. It is highly recommended to use Royal Mail / Special Delivery service within the UK as it comes with insurance. Once you have sent your return, please email me the tracking number.

• I reserve the right to refuse a refund on any item which has not been properly cared for by the customer in accordance with the jewellery care instructions or that has been damaged due to improper use.

• Refunds will be issued once I have received and checked your returned product. If approved, your refund will be credited to your original payment method. Transactions may take up to 10 working days to complete. If it takes longer than this, please contact your bank.

• For international returns, customs duties/taxes must be paid for by the customer. These will be invoiced at cost.

Goods are considered faulty if:

They arrive damaged, or a manufacturing defect becomes apparent within six months of purchase.

Items are not considered faulty if the damage is due to:

normal wear and tear (e.g. surface scratches, stretched or broken chains), accidental damage, loss or misuse.

The resolution options:

Where a fault is confirmed after inspection, I will offer one of the following, at my discretion:

• repair of the item

• replacement with the same or a similar item

• store credit

• a refund - only if a repair or replacement is not possible.
